Springtrap vs Chucky (Five Nights at Freddy's vs Child's Play)

"The first requisite for immortality is death."  -Stanislaw Jerzy Lec

William Afton, The Man Behind the Slaughter!

Charles Lee Ray, The Lakeshore Strangler!

Fear, Fear is what motivates man to be careful, and for as long as humanity has existed, there was one thing they feared more than anything: death. The thought of simply stopping existing, and we have tried to find a way to prolong life for a long time, but death always catches up to us. But these two were finally able to cheat it, but that came with a heavy price. But one of these killers will meet the fate they have been trying to avoid for so long. Time to find out!

Before We Start…
Oh boy...okay, so, getting the obvious out of the way, both their games and movies/shows are allowed. It sounds simple, but things get very complicated when you touch the books. Starting with the novel trilogy, they aren't 'canon' (though Scott has always had a weird definition of what that word means); however, they should be fine to use.

The ultimate guide directly says, "While the books are in a separate continuity from the games, they are considered canon (more evidence that Scott uses canon way differently than we do). Many concepts first introduced in the novels later took hold in the games, while concepts introduced in the games were expanded on in the novels.

So now let's go to Frights! Which is also probably fine? Its canonicity is heavily debated, but Scott has said that some stories in it are directly linked to the games, and the fact that you can speculate if it's canon should already put it above the novel trilogy, and most of Springtrap's arsenal comes from them anyways. Of course FNAF World won't be used, and neither will FNAF AR, which, while canon, the Springtrap in that game isn't William and neither will the Character Encyclopedia, which is unreliable and gets info wrong quite frequently, like Charlie from the novels actually being a human, which objectively can't be the case.

the movie is in a weird spot where, it isn't canon but it does show us how William acts and gives us more insight into his mind, so we choose to use it. Comics and other canon side materials are fine for Chucky except for the reboot, and while not canon, DBD will be allowed for both, it doesn't change the verdict and it just adds more to talk about, it's kind of a special case since both characters were in it, but we won't scale them to each other, we will simply go over their unique perks and powers. As always all blogs, wikis and calcs used will be listed at the end of this.

(Some of the descriptions of Chucky's and Afton's arsenal are taken directly form certain blogs due to us simply running out of new things to say that weren't said before, all blogs will be credited at the end of this)

Background
Springtrap

William Afton was a humble business owner and family man, or at least that's what he wanted everyone to think. Underneath that facade was a bitter, neglectful monster. It all started when he murdered his own business partner's daughter out of petty jealousy, and it didn't stop there! He targeted 5 children and cut their lives short all to further his own goals and stuffed their bodies into mechanical prisons where no one would find them, until one day he came back and tore down the machines, and the spirits were released.

He ran into the hidden room of the restaurant and got inside the suit he had used to commit his awful crimes, and that same suit was his undoing; it crushed and bloodied him beyond recognition, leaving him trapped inside. However, 30 years later he was freed from that room to be a part of a horror attraction based on his murders, yet in just 5 short nights it would burn down and he would escape. Sporting a new look, Afton saw that a new Freddy's location had opened, so he made it his goal to sneak inside, yet this would be his biggest and seemingly final mistake.

His old business partner Henry had returned and gathered every single piece of the puzzle William's actions had created, trapped them all inside, and burned the building down with no way out. Afton's soul would not be allowed to rest, though; one of his victims trapped him in his own eternal prison, forced to face the monsters he had created forever. Now that's the end for now, but Afton has always made one vow, no matter what...He always comes back.

Chucky

Charles Lee Ray was a notorious serial killer, but he fancied himself something more—seeking eternal life. They called him the “Lakeshore Strangler,” and for good reason, as when he was 8 years old, he strangled his mother to the point of no return and has racked up a kill count of 114, leaving a trail of bodies and fear wherever he went. But his luck ran out during a police chase that cornered him in a toy store. Shot and bleeding out, Charles didn’t beg or pray. Instead, he used a voodoo ritual, transferring his soul into the nearest thing available: a Good Guy doll.

That’s where the real nightmare began. Now stuck in plastic, Charles—better known now as Chucky—had one mission: get out. And there was only one way. He had to transfer his soul into the first person he revealed his true identity to. Unfortunately for six-year-old Andy Barclay, that was him. What followed was a relentless, bloody pursuit that ruined Andy’s life and added several more films to Chucky’s watchlist. But Chucky never stays down. No matter how many times he’s burned, blown up, dismembered, or buried, he finds a way back. His blood alone has the power to corrupt toy factory lines, spawning entire armies of Chucky dolls. He’s possessed multiple bodies, hopped between hosts, and even created his own family—Tiffany, his equally twisted bride, and Glen/Glenda, their confused yet powerful BRITISH child.

Over time, Chucky’s voodoo tricks evolved into full-blown soul-splitting sorcery, allowing him to possess multiple dolls at once. That’s right, he became an entire cult of Chucky's, each one with his homicidal personality and twisted humor intact. He’s not just a killer anymore. He’s infamous. A legend. A slasher icon. Plastic that refuses to die. So go ahead and shoot…But he'll be back. He always comes back.

Experience And Skill
Overall Intellect and Knowledge
Afton is a skilled engineer and very cunning when it comes to his schemes with quite a few kills to his name. Even though his body was torn apart, he never lost the intelligence he possessed as William. While he was William, he Co-Founded and managed Fredbear's Family diner and his own business, Afton Robotics (even though that didn't last long). He also created the sister location animatronics and the twisted animatronics, who are extremely advanced machines for their time. But probably one of his most impressive intelligence feats is his deep research of Remnant. Being able to Create the S.C.U.P.E.R, a machine which injects remnant, what is remnant exactly? Well...we will, talk about this later don't worry.

Manipulation
Of course someone who wears a mascot suit all day would have a bit of charisma, but Afton uses it for more...nefarious purposes. Using the suit, Afton convinced children to follow him into the safe room so that he could kill them while no one was looking, even being able to use and manipulate them after they became animatronics. And he would later get away with building the Funtime animatronics with ways to kill children in spite of engineers approaching him about the designs, just with his sheer silver tongue.

Engineering And Robotics
As we have touched on, Afton is brilliant when it comes to engineering, going way back to the springlock suits, which, while extremely dangerous, are also quite impressive. Especially with the technology of the time. The illusion discs also stand out quite a bit. What do they do? We will get into it soon. And of course, it should go without mentioning, but just the existence of the Funtime's and a bunch of gadgets to extract Remnant should already prove Afton's genius.

Stealth
Springtrap is a sneaky bastard who loves to hide in the dark. always choosing to hide in the darker corners of the camera, while he was human, he was able to even sneak up on the animatronics, proving his stealth to be even greater. Getting even better in FNaF 6, being able to hide inside marked-down objects to get inside the pizzeria early.

Chucky
Manipulation
Chucky is an expert in manipulating others into unknowingly falling in line with his plans. When he was human, he was known for being very charismatic and using this charisma in his crimes. Something he seemed to bring with him to his life as a doll. Regularly manipulating people, usually kids or young adults, into doing his bidding for him, for example, in Child's Play 3, he tricked a guy into getting in the back of a trash compactor and proceeded to crush him or how in the TV Show he was able to convince Junior Wheeler to kill his dad and later on in season 2 was able to trick Nadine by impersonating her priest despite her having confessed to this priest several times prior.

Planning and Trap Setting
Speaking of plans, Chucky Came up with a plan to obtain “world domination” that included psychologically manipulating an innocent into murdering someone in cold blood, which would then awaken his army of 72 Good Guy’s to spread across the country, which would’ve worked had Andy not intervened by somehow surviving the house explosion. But his planning skills can also be used to make complex traps in various scenarios. With Tiffany's help, made a trap using a car's airbag and a jar of nails to get rid of a nosey police chief. Killed over a dozen people after unscrewing a chandelier's screws prior to the ball in the White House that night, in Child's Play 3, he switched paintballs with real bullets which lead to someone getting shot. not to mention creating a field of beartraps
ahead of time.

Framing
One of Chucky's main methods of turning people against each other comes through the form of framing, which he's a pro at. Like how in Child's Play 2, he vandalised Andy’s homework to get him in detention. This skill is especially present in the Devil's Due Publishing comic run, which entirely revolves around Chucky using an elaborate plan to frame and completely ruin the lives of the protagonists of Bride of Chucky.

Stealth

Marksmanship

Weapon Mastery and Improvisation
Chucky likes to be…unique with his killings. We will get into this soon enough, but Chucky's arsenal is huge, and that's mostly because he's able to turn anything into a weapon or way to kill someone; even normal household objects can be deadly in his little baby hands.

Acrobatics

Voodoo Knowledge
Chucky has a vast amount of knowledge in voodoo magic and techniques taught to him by John Bishop. Through these various different rituals, he can cheat at death and resurrect even if he’s declared permanently dead. Even though he can be killed, it never lasts, as he always seems able to find some way to come back (even through outside help). As of Cult of Chucky, he even learned a new ritual in voodoofordummies.com that would allow him to split his soul into multiple different vessels and possess multiple people simultaneously.

Other Skills
You get it by now; Chucky is surprisingly smart and extremely skilled, so let's go over some of the minor stuff too small to get its own section.

Chemistry/Engineering: created a homemade bomb using fertilizer and butane, powerful enough to kill within a 6-foot radius. It included a strap with a button for detonation. It should be mentioned that Chucky doesn’t have any formal training in these fields, meaning he either self-taught himself or adapted to it.

Hacking: Hacked into the White House’s system to disable the power grid, allowing him to move undetected.

PS for anyone who wants to waste their time reducing MY art to useless internet debates, making the Password of your website, "Password" is a stupid fucking idea. Also, who's the old geezer?

....well, uh....

Medicine: Stitched up Nica’s wrists despite not having any formal experience, which still would require him to have medical skills given the major veins and arteries in the arm.

Equipment
Springtrap
Kitchen Knife
An ordinary kitchen knife, perfect for a good stab.

Springbonnie Suit
The Yellow Rabbit suit, the costume William wore when he committed his murders and the one he became forever trapped inside, becoming one with the suit and fusing with it. Probably the most impressive part is that even before becoming Springtrap, William has survived Springlock failures in the past, he even seemed to somewhat enjoy the suit a...little too much. The suit is also durable enough to tank gunshots, But I don't think having a hard shell compensates having everything in your body brutally disfigured.

Everything? Do you think his manhood fell off, or is it rotten by now?

I don't think it survived.

Purple Car
The vehicle that Afton used when it came to kidnapping and killing his victims, this car is able to go up to 200 MPH, which sounds like an accident waiting to happen.

Fun Fact: In the UK during 2024 alone, there were more than 1,633 fatalities in reported road collisions. Don't Drink and Drive.

That...doesn't sound very fun.

Syringes
Afton has syringes filled with remnant, which he can take from or remove from an individual.

Illusion Discs
The Illusion discs are an extremely impressive piece of technology, which can change your very perception. Overstimulating your brain causes it to fill in the blank of what it sees; the chip plays sounds at such frequencies that your subconscious has to fill in the gaps. Your mind then gets overwhelmed, causing things to seem scary, inducing nausea and vomiting, making things invisible, and even making things seem impossible in size. And it's not like these things are there for show or are used in a small quantity, since these illusions can cause you to hear and even feel non-real things, practically warping everything around you. Afton is seemingly immune to them though, thanks to his prolonged exposure to Circus Baby, a character who has one active at all times.

Fredbear Plush
This was, presumably, used to talk with walkie talkies to the Crying Child, making him believe the bear was actually alive. as well as it being equipped with hidden cameras, which were used to keep an eye on him.

Fear Experiment Gas
William somehow developed special hallucinogens that spread through gas, which he used to perform experiments to study the effects of fear in children. The gas was so powerful it made them think they lived at their parents' house. The gas made them think they had to go to school. The gas even made them think they were eating real food, when in fact they had been eating the awful wafers the whole time. Not only that, but this gas might be related to the nightmares, as William used mannequins, which, due to the illusions, looked like terrifying creatures. (Top 5 Funniest Pranks)

The Twisted Ones
The Twisted Animatronics are nocturnal creatures who bury themselves into the ground, popping out at night to attack. Made from blank plastic models, using the Sound Illusion Chips, they turn these once simple models into horrifying beasts, following every command of Afton. Afton can also see the world through their eyes and ears. These robots act as both attackers and captors, able to take individuals. On top of all of that, they don’t share the weakness to fire and high temperatures the other animatronics do.

Funtime Animatronics
When Afton wanted to work on his more experimental projects that wouldn’t fly with Emily, he took to working in his secret location, where he created the Funtime Animatronics. These machines are made specifically for remnant research.

Baby: She can blow up balloons with her fingertips, dispense ice cream, and sing. she even has an ice cream dispenser (which also happens to be a deadly trap), and most of all, like everyone else in this franchise, she's possessed by a dead child, Afton's child, who wishes to make her father proud above all else. She’s equipped with a kill switch located somewhere around her shins that will immediately shut her down. She’s a bit of a control freak, telling the other animatronics what to do so much that they got annoyed at her and kicked her out of Ennard. (L Bozo)

Ballora: A very…unique animatronic that (might) have be modeled after Afton's wife. She’s usually triggered by sound and is equipped with an Audio Activation Sensor to lure in victims, Remote Misdirection to redirect victims to a preferred location, Balance/Stability because she’s a ballerina, and a Collision Sensor so she doesn’t run into anything. She’s usually accompanied by Minireena’s.

I Wonder if she's free to have some fun tonight.

Funtime Freddy: Probably the most deadly of the animatronics, Funtime Freddy actively tries to traumatize his victims so that if he doesn’t succeed in killing them, he can haunt them. He’s also a smug douche who can’t take a loss and chalks up any success his adversaries have against him to luck. He has a proximity sensor/grouping coordination to detect and group together victims, voice mimicking to lure in victims, and a soundproof storage tank with a space heater to store kidnapped victims. He also has incredible control and know-how about his body and can somehow flood his storage tank with water. And if all of that wasn’t enough he also has a little shit on his hand named Bon-Bon. Who calms Funtime Freddy down but makes everyone else want to punch a hole through their monitor? If you take out Funtime Freddy, you then have to take out Bon-Bon (who has a 360-degree pivot), which isn’t incredibly hard as long as you don’t get caught off guard.

Funtime Foxy: Funtime Foxy has many features that Afton has installed into them. As listed on Funtime Foxy’s blueprints, he has a light activation sensor, which detects changes in lights. Parental Voice Sync and replay, which replays the voice of parents, letting Afton lure children close to him. Variable Scent Release, which lets out smells to lure victims, and a Remote Floor Anchor. We don’t know its use, but we can assume that it anchors Funtime Foxy to the floor.

Bidybabs/Minireenas
a bunch of small animatronics that Afton was able to mass produce due to their simplicity. The Minireenas excel at one thing, however; they are small enough to enter someone's body, which…probably isn't the most…well, pleasant feeling. Unless you are into this stuff.

The Classic Animatronics
Possessed by the first murder victims, the original animatronics are under the control of Afton, who had manipulated them. Though they soon figured out the truth and caused Afton to become Springtrap. They wander the pizzeria in free-roaming mode at night so as to not lock up their servos. One other nifty feature they have is that if they believe an endoskeleton isn’t wearing a costume, they will forcefully put the endo into a costume, which sounds good until you realize that the animatronics mistake any human in the pizzeria after hours to be a naked endoskeleton.

Freddy: The icon of the entire franchise, with a press of his bow tie, his torso opens up to allow access to his innards, which contain a safety latch, a red button that powers the safety latch, and a music box safely tucked away. Unlike the other Classic Animatronics, Freddy never backs down or retreats until he reaches his target.

Bonnie: Out with the old and in with the new. Bonnie, who’s obviously just a rebrand of Spring Bonnie, is the simplest of the Classic Animatronics. There’s nothing really special about him compared to his comrades.

Chica: Chica is a simple animatronic like Bonnie, though unlike Bonnie, she has someone to keep her company, the Cupcake. The Cupcake is a smaller animatronic that Chica carries around; it’s surprisingly fast and has a strong bite.

Foxy: The oddball of the group, this pirate-themed fox has his own designated area in the pizzeria named Pirates Cove. Unlike the other animatronics, Foxy is smart enough to see through disguises like the FNAF 2 mask and throws caution to the wind by running full speed towards his destination, usually slamming into something. This somehow drains the power/electricity of the thing he’s slamming into.

Balloon Boy Horde
Oh god, that's horrifying. Worst of all is that we don't even know how many of those little shits there are; all we know is that they are described as "a wall." (Wall Level Balloon Boy Real)

Endoskeletons
Afton has troops of endoskeletons that he uses for keeping his identity hidden. They all come equipped with illusionary discs, which Afton will play, making sure that they look like him.

Chucky
Stabbing And Slicing Tools
A good stabbing never goes out of style, and thankfully neither does a good slashing. These two methods are Chucky's personal favorites and his go-to when it comes to killing.

Voodoo Knife: Chucky's go-to weapon in the original Child's Play film. Chucky relies on this knife throughout most of the movie.

Kitchen Knife: Likely his most iconic weapon. Chucky frequently wields a kitchen knife, using it to kill people such as Warren Kincaid, Stan, Barb Pierce, Oliver, Nathan Cross, and Junior.

Boot Knife: Chucky uses a boot knife found inside the Simpsons’s house in the final act of Child’s Play 2. Chucky used it to kill Grace Poole and some random technician. Chucky has also used this knife as a makeshift hand when he lost his.

Combat Knife: Chucky uses a Bowie knife in Child’s Play 3; weirdly enough, it was never really used to kill anyone. The most it did was give Colonel Cochrane a heart attack.

Gold Knife: A knife variant available in Slash & Dash. Works the same way as a normal knife but it's shiny.

Shaving Razor: Chucky uses a shaving razor to slit Sergeant Botnik’s throat after he tried to give Chucky a haircut in Child’s Play 3.

Machete: While we don’t see the kill, Chucky kills someone offscreen in Seed of Chucky with a machete. We also see the Colonel use one in the television show, but he never actually kills anyone with it.

Carving Fork: While we don’t see the kill, Chucky kills someone offscreen in Seed of Chucky with a carving fork.

Axe: Chucky has used an axe on a few occasions. In Seed of Chucky, he uses one to break down a door and almost kill Tiffany in her doll body. In Curse of Chucky, he uses one to kill Ian Pierce by hacking off his lower jaw.

Scissors: Chucky uses a pair of scissors to kill Nica’s mom, Sarah Pierce, in Curse of Chucky.

Scalpel: Chucky uses a scalpel on Dr. Ardmore to cut his leg to make him fall on the ground so he can shock him to death. He then uses a scalpel to paralyze Sean Peyton in the Chucky television series.

Wheelchair Wire: Chucky #1 used a wire from Nica’s wheelchair to slit Angela’s wrists in Cult of Chucky.

Broken Bottle: Chucky #1 used a broken bottle to help kill Carlos with the other two Chucky's in Cult of Chucky.

Drill: Chucky #2 used a drill to help kill Carlos with the other two Chucky's in Cult of Chucky. We also see Chucky #2 use it to kill Malcolm a few minutes later.

Syringes: Chucky injects a bunch of syringes filled with random stuff into Sean Peyton, killing him.

World's Quietest Chainsaw: Oh, now we are talking! Chucky used this beauty to kill Lexy’s mom, Michelle Cross, by splitting her in half.

This cost me a lot of money; take your eyes off her. It's mine.

Umbrella: Chucky used this to stab a taxi driver in the mouth and through their neck.

Cleaver: One of the weapons available in Slash & Dash.

Hook: Chucky kills some guy in the comics with this hook that was used to hang plushies and dolls up on.

Hedge Trimmer: A hedge trimmer he found in the basement of Lieutenant Preston’s home, Chucky used this trimmer to cut up his insides while attacking him and his wife.

Freddy Krueger Glove: A Replica of the Freddy Krueger glove form a Nightmare on Elm Street, Chucky Used this to slash Wendy's leg.

Firearms And Ranged Items
When Chucky needs to kill someone from far away, guns can be...as you can probably imagine, very effective. But this little doll's arsenal of ranged weapons doesn't quite stop at pistols.

Beretta 950 Jetfire: Chucky steals this pistol from the fair security guard in Child’s Play 3. He uses it to shoot said security guard off-screen.

Glock 17 And Bruni Me-8 Police: Chucky wields a Glock 17 for a good chunk of Bride of Chucky while Tiffany used a Bruni Me-8 Police, which they used to hold Jesse and Jade captive, and Chucky even shot at police cars with it, later Chucky dual-wields both the Glock and Bruni.

Darts: Chucky uses some darts to help kill the CEO of Play Pals Toys in Child’s Play 3. He has also used it for stabbing in the comics.

Nail Gun: Chucky on numerous occasions (mostly in the comics) has used a nail gun to fire back at incoming fire or just to take out people with ease in a more sadistic way.

Slingshot: Used to launch baseballs at pursuing toys, striking them with enough force and accuracy to subdue them.

Blundering Objects
If stabbing, slashing, and shooting just aren't doing it for you, you can always go with something more simple and straightforward. Beating people to death with random shit.

Hammer: Chucky uses this to get his very first on-screen kill, Maggie Peterson. He uses it by hitting her so hard that she was sent flying out the window.

Baseball Bat: Chucky uses a baseball bat in the first movie to knock out Mike Norris so that he doesn’t get in the way of him trying to switch souls with Andy. He later on uses it in the second movie to knock out Andy.

Glass Figurine: Chucky uses this to beat the shit out of another Good Guy doll (RIP Tommy).

Toy Shovel: He uses this to bury Tommy's remains; there's not much to it outside of that.

Yard Stick: Chucky uses a yard stick to beat and kill Andy’s teacher, Miss Kettlewell.

Golf Club: Chucky uses this to beat the shit out of the Play Pals Toys CEO.

Shovel: Chucky uses this to fight Tiffany in the climax of Bride.

Explosives
I already said this many times in different blogs, but explosions are fucking awesome, and Chucky has a variety of different trinkets to cause them.

Grenade: While Chucky originally used to try to kill a group of kids, Harold Whitehurst jumps on the grenade and saves everyone but kills himself in the process.

Lighter: Chucky combines this with a burning flannel to cause a giant explosion in Officer Norton's car.

Fertilizer Bomb: Chucky was able to craft his own homemade fertilizer bomb, which he states can kill anyone in a 5-foot radius. This bomb ends up killing Jake's foster brother, Gary.

Strangulation and Suffocation Tools
Atough Chucky was known as “The Lakeshore Strangler”, he doesn't actually do a lot of actual strangulation. Of course, this doesn't mean he never strangled someone, because Charles DOES like to open the day with a good strangulation, even if it's not his main method.

 Nothing beats a good strangulation.

Wires: Chucky uses wires in an attempt to choke and kill Mike Norris while he was driving.

Plastic Bag: Chucky has used a plastic bag to suffocate his victims on multiple occasions. Chucky uses a plastic bag in Child’s Play 2 to suffocate and kill Mattson, an executive of the Good Guy Doll company. He also suffocated someone else off-screen in Seed of Chucky with a plastic bag as well. He also has used one to presumably kill Alice’s grandmother in Curse of Chucky.

Yo-Yo: Chucky uses a yo-yo to strangle and kill the CEO of Play Pals Toys in Child’s Play 3.

Pillow: Chucky uses a pillow to suffocate Damien Baylock in Bride of Chucky by sitting on it while he talks to Tiffany.

Rosary: Buff Chucky uses a rosary to choke Father O’Malley to death.

American Flag: Chucky wrapped this around Fairchild's face to strangle her to death with.

Y'know, if you made these faster, we could have had a 4th of July joke here.

Misc.
Random shit that doesn't fit in any category.

Air Pump: Chucky uses this on Miss Kettlewell to send her flying across a room.

Broken Broom: Chucky uses the hook of a broken broom to grab onto Andy’s foster dad’s leg to make him trip and fall on his neck, killing him.

Rolling Crate: After losing his legs, Chucky used this to get around as a final attempt to try to kill Andy.

Marbles: Chucky uses a bag of marbles to help kill the CEO of Play Pals Toys in Child’s Play 3.

Wedding Ring: Chucky uses this to carve his way out of a wooden crate that Tiffany put him in after he refused to marry her.

Women, am I right?

Nails: Chucky and Tiff cleverly combine these with a car's airbag to launch them into Warren's face.

Rat Poison: Chucky uses rat poison to kill Father Frank by poisoning his chilly.

Compressed Oxygen Canister: Chucky #1 used a compressed oxygen tank by throwing it hard into the ground so it could launch up and shatter the window above Claire, which caused her to get decapitated from the falling glass.

Whisky: Chucky drank almost a whole bottle of whiskey and proceeded to puke out under Lucas Wheeler’s feet while he was working with wires, causing him to electrocute himself to death. Ew.

Mail Cart: Chucky uses a mail cart to push Bree Wheeler out of the window of a very tall building, which kills her.

Arsenic: The Colonel uses arsenic to get the upper hand on Buff Chucky by secretly putting it into his food, killing him.

Beartraps: Knowing that his victims would attempt to flee, he prepared a field of bear traps throughout a forest that would immobilize and kill those who got trapped.

Barbed Wire Trap: Before ambushing a group of teenagers, Chucky set up a barbed wire trap, which decapitated two girls who tried to flee from the campsite.

Voodoo Doll
Although we are not sure if Chucky can create one on his own, he once used a voodoo doll resembling his former voodoo instructor, John Aelsop Bishop, and brutally utilized the man's "personal mojo" against him after he refused to help. So, theoretically, if Chucky's able to gain your blood, he can put it into the doll, and whatever the doll does happens to you. If Chucky bends its legs, your legs will break; if he twists its arms, your arms will break; if he stabs it in the middle, your heart stops.

Heart of Damballa
A mystical amulet Chucky died with; It allows Chucky to possess whoever and whatever he pleases, swap the bodies of two people, create storms, and generate lightning. It does seem to negate the time limit that Chucky has to deal with, since he can switch bodies even after becoming human, but we will get into this later.

Camera
In Chucky’s Vacation Slides, he commonly has a camera wrapped around his neck in the photos, which is used to take photos of his family's vacation! Awww…

See? I'm not all bad.

Hello Kitty Mask
He looks so adorable to the point that you even forget how many people he killed.

Powers and Abilities
Springtrap
Remnant
Remnant is the term for the physical manifestation of memories infused with and possessing inanimate objects, making it a driving force behind the paranormal occurrences in the animatronics besides the spirits themselves. There are two types of remnant: liquid and spiritual. When most people see it, it seems like an aurora-like ball of light. In this state it is far more ethereal than anything else, existing as a difficult-to-capture mist of soul energy. However, this substance takes on a more liquid form when it is exposed to high temperatures or when it is utilized to possess an object. Because of its easy manipulation and disintegration by outside influences, anyone can use it to communicate with the spirits from which the Remnant was collected, for example, by injecting it into living creatures. Remnant is able to create power and life out of memories along with being able to mess with souls. When harnessed, it can make someone immortal, give inanimate objects life without the need for a soul, and increase one's strength.

Agony
(Art by: @the-ooftroop)
Agony is the other main supernatural energy in Five Nights at Freddy's series, and is considered to be the opposite of Remnant. While Remnant is a combination of metal and good emotions and memories, Agony is just negative emotions and bad memories. Just like Remnant, it is a driver of supernatural abilities and phenomena, but unlike Remnant, these are usually violent. Described as the most powerful emotion and the one that radiates the most in the human body, even more powerful than love, agony, like rage, can infect objects, causing them to become "haunted" and inanimate objects to come to life, this is reinforced by the fact that infusing an AI with agony will bring it to life. Anyways, Agony grants the user many abilities, abilities that we will touch on soon.

Emotions
Human emotions, similarly to agony, play a fundamental role in the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise. These energies, as described, emanate from every living being, whether as sweat or tears, each emotion has specific effects and abilities. Of course, we already went over Agony, so we will go over the other 3 here.

Anger: Anger is primarily used by Andrew. It grants the ability to infect and possess objects, as well as being able to "bind" himself to the souls of others. You can also channel anger into a lethal zap as a prank.

Guilt: Guilt is the main theme in the story Blackbird. This feeling can cause people to create storms out of remorse.

Fear: Fear prevents souls from ascending to the afterlife until they lose it. Excessive fear can cause people to enter a temporary coma and be completely lobotomized.

Possession/Immortality
When Springtrap loses his physical form, he can live on as a spirit. Spirits can attach their remnant to anyone they like, causing a shift in their minds and memories or even tie themselves to inanimate objects. Sometimes they can even tie themselves to multiple objects and people at the same time. In some cases spirits can prevent death, such as when some nurses tried to murder Springtrap, but Andrew’s spirit prevented it. And in classic ghost fashion, spirits are able to interact with the real world, whether that be leaving a trail of bloody footprints, shifting the air, or making some drawings. And if that's not enough, spirits can also straight up refuse to go to the afterlife. Though, we shouldn't be surprised, Afton has a tendency to always come back.

HEY! THAT'S MY THING, YOU HACK!

Phantom Animatronics
The Phantoms are a group of animatronics that don’t actually exist. Versions of Freddy, Chica, Foxy, Mangle, Balloon Boy, and The Puppet. These can mess with your mind in a bunch of different ways, mostly by jumping at you and blocking your vision. Their main thing is messing with the old technology of Fazbear Frights, causing issues within the ventilation and lights.

Soul-on-Soul Combat
Spirits are capable of grabbing onto and clawing at each other. This capability has also been used to pull unwilling spirits out of objects, such as when Jake tried to carry Andrew to the afterlife, as well as drag spirits back into objects, such as when William pulled Jake back into the Stitchwraith. As demonstrated by Andrew, possessing enough hatred or anger can produce an aura that also pains nearby spirits. Andrew also demonstrates that these spirits are capable of affecting and damaging physical objects as well through use of their different abilities.

While possessing the Stitchwraith, William was able to temporarily eject his soul from the endoskeleton, allowing him to lunge out and grab onto Andrew, and later Jake, before pulling him back into the Stitchwraith.

Soul Corruption
During his time as the Agony Amalgamation, Afton stabbed Detective Larson with his mechanical hand. While stabbing the detective, Afton injected part of his soul into Larson, infecting him with a poison that would slowly threaten his life throughout the rest of the encounter, leaving him woozy after some time and unable to stay awake. Purple boils started to form around the area of the incision, and, if not treated, Larson would’ve likely died soon after.

Perception Manipulation

Ability Corruption And Corrosive Shocks
While hiding in the Stitchwraith, Andrew tried to shock several people as a prank using the electricity from the Stitchwraith’s battery pack, though that shock ended up killing them despite not being Andrew’s desire. This is heavily implied to be William’s doing, given he had attached his soul to Andrew’s and had been present in the Stitchwraith alongside them. But they aren't a painless death, far from it. They have some kind of corrosive effect. At first the shock is described as inducing convulsions and a pain so excruciating that it annihilates the victim’s consciousness, but quickly after it’s described as withering the victim’s body to near mummification.

Telekinesis/Technopathy
In the Novel trilogy, William claims complete control over the systems that connect the animatronics for the purpose of choreography in the novels, which gives him the ability to direct each and every movement of the Fazbear animatronics. In his condition, he was also able to control some cords to restrain one of his victims. And during Fazbear Frights, Afton used something similar to create a telekinetic pull and fuse the bits and pieces of junk, machinery and metal, along with animatronic parts, forming a massive amalgamation of metal pieces and parts completely under Afton’s control. In an attempt to defeat him, the detective Larson attempted to ram Afton with a forklift, only for the forklift to be dragged towards Afton and merged with his body.

Cursing
An ability that originally belonged to Foxy, Foxy used this to put a curse on Pete by singing his pirate song. In his song he said, “You can be a pirate, but first you'll have to lose an eye and an arm!” After this incident, Pete constantly gets into situations where he almost loses his eye and arm. Eventually, he was hit by a car and sent to surgery, where his eye and arm were taken. Due to being one of the strongest agony users, Afton should also have this ability.

Nightmare Control/Inducement
Falling asleep near spirits allows them to enter your dreams. They can warp the dream however they please and even interact with the dreamer. Any damage you receive in the dream from the spirit transfers to your actual body.

Dead by Daylight
As a part of chapter 36, Springtrap was added to Dead by Daylight. Along with this DLC came a few new abilities, which will be listed now.

Killer Power:

Fire Axe: Springtrap is able to throw a fire axe at survivors. If this weapon hits a survivor, it'll be embedded into them, preventing them from being healed until either they remove it themselves or Springtrap retracts it. However, if he misses, it's not all bad, as the axe will create an aura where it lands that tells Springtrap their location if they walk through it.

Security Doors: Whenever Springtrap is the killer, 7 random security doors are spawned throughout the map. Springtrap is able to walk through one and exit from any door he chooses, functioning as a pseudo-teleport; he also becomes undetectable for 20 seconds. However, these doors aren't limited to just Springtrap! Survivors can make use of them too, but for survivors exclusively the doors will have a limited battery power that goes down every time they're used; if the power runs out, the doors will be unusable to anyone but Springtrap for a brief period.

Killer Perks:

Help Wanted: If Springtrap damages a generator, it'll become compromised. If this compromised generator is completed, Springtrap's attack cooldown will be 25% faster for 60 seconds.

Phantom Fear: If a survivor in Springtrap's terror radius (24 m) looks at him, they'll scream, revealing their aura to him for 2 seconds. This doesn't stop them from moving, though.

Haywire: Exit gates that have 80% progress will regress at a rate of 100% of gate opening speed.

Add-ons:

Greasy Paper Plate: Increases the time needed by survivors to dislodge the axe by 15%.

Help Wanted Ad: While readying his axe to throw, Springtrap sees a guideline that projects the axe’s trajectory.

Restaurant Menu: Reduces the time needed to retrieve the axe after missing by 20%

Rotten Pizza: Increases the duration of the axe’s revealing aura by 100%.

Office Phone: While within 24 meters of a survivor embedded with the axe, they gain the Oblivious status. If they’re Injured, they also gain the Broken status.

Party Hat: When the fire axe is embedded in the environment, its area of effect is increased by 250% for 3 seconds, but the duration of the area of effect is halved.

Ripped Curtain: Survivors hit by the Fire Axe are inflicted with Hemorrhage (increases bleeding) and Mangled (increases time needed to heal).

Security Guard’s Badge: Upon exiting a security door, Springtrap is Undetectable (cannot be sensed) for 50% longer. (More on those later.)

Streamers: Increases the speed at which Springtrap moves through security doors by 20%.

Bonnie’s Guitar Strings: While moving between security doors, Springtrap can sense the state of repair of generators. In exchange, his time as Undetectable is halved.

Chica’s Bib: While survivors are inside the area of effect of Springtrap’s axe, they are inflicted with Exhausted (unable to use special abilities).

Foxy’s Hook: While within the area of effect of Springtrap’s axe, gain 7% Haste (speed boost), lingering for 3 seconds after leaving the area.

Freddy’s Hat: Increases the weight of Springtrap’s axe by 100%.

Purple Guy Drawing: Reveals the aura of survivors who perform rushed actions while they have the axe embedded in them, as well as when they remove the axe themselves.

Access Panel: Springtrap’s Axe can now be thrown directly through security doors as if they were portals. Additionally, security doors reveal survivors while Springtrap is holding the axe.

Celebrate! Poster: While embedded with the axe, Springtrap, as well as anybody within 32 meters, gains a 12% Haste boost.

Endo CPU: While Springtrap is inside the effect of his own axe, his Action speeds increase by 25%, lingering for 5 seconds.

Lost Bag: When a survivor is embedded with the axe, they cannot leave the trial.

Faz-Coin: Throwing the axe causes it to emit Springtrap’s own terror radius. Springtrap himself becomes Undetectable for 10 seconds.

Iridescent Remnant: When traveling through a security door, all upright pallets within 32 meters are blocked for 12 seconds.

Chucky
Doll Physiology
As a doll, Chucky doesn’t feel pain and lacks organic features or fingerprints and instead only sprays out cotton fluff when harmed, being able to even reattach lost limbs. However, he will develop organs and gain more human attributes the longer he stays in the doll, including a...reproductive system, starting to even become able to produce a man-milk capable of giving birth to other dolls, but thanks to voodoo, instead of the process being months, it's only a day (wtf).

Charles’s fingerprints slowly become the Doll’s fingerprints and other human feelings also start to appear, like ticklishness and pain, though weirdly enough, while he can grow organs, but he still remains boneless even after becoming more "human", Chucky also doesn't seem to need oxygen to live. He can also alternate between a child's voice and his regular voice, turn his head 180 degrees and can even survive as just a head or without one. Due to his doll body, he can also fit in small spaces

Body Control
Killing Chucky is a very hard task, especially since he can control separate body parts even after being presumably dead, such as his headless body after being decapitated or his severed right arm.

Soul Transference

And then you have what started it all, this third spell allows him to exchange bodies with both living beings and inanimate objects. preferably Good Guy dolls. A Slight disadvantage with this third spell however is that Chucky can only swap places with the first person he revealed himself to, and if he's too late, he won't be able to swap. However this can be negated if Chucky’s in a new body or with the heart of Damballa. It should also be noted that all of these spells create giant storms. Some Even Bigger Than Mountains. Which we will touch on in one of the BTV Sections.

Soul Splitting
This is a spell Chucky learned on VoodooforDummies.com, which allows him to separate his soul into multiple Good Guy dolls, allowing him to be in multiple places at once and survive if he were to die again. Chucky’s got two versions of this spell, with the first being the ability to use a chant and bring another doll to life, only one at a time though. Chucky used this version in Cult of Chucky, but since then he has learned another version of the spell, which is WAY more destructive.

Though this second version is a tiny bit complicated, for this spell to work, Chucky needs to convince a teenager to kill someone (real specific). Which brought an entire army of Chucky's to life. 73 in total, which he tried to use to enact world domination, though he did lose most of this army before being able to put his plan into practice. For the sake of the blog, we are giving him the army anyways. It is important to note, however, that this army is not a hivemind. Some of them can have arguments, be turned to the side of good, or even die with the other Chuckys not feeling a thing. We will obviously not go over ALL 73 dolls, 89 if you count the Chucky Trio form Cult, the 13 discarded dolls form the comics and Ghost Chucky, but we will go over the main, most notable ones.

Chucky #2: A Chucky who was buried and lost his arm in the process; he usually carries a drill around. The reason why he was buried in the first place was due to a patient confusing him for her son.

Chucky #3: This Chucky has an ugly-ass buzzcut, which already makes him one of the scariest ones. He was mailed to the mental institution Nica was at by Andy. He goes after Andy, but luckily for Andy, he puts a gun inside this Chucky's stomach and rips it right out and shoots him. He’s Usually Seen Wielding A Knife.

Season 1 Chucky: This Chucky is the main one we see throughout season 1 of the Chucky television series. While he does die in quick succession once all the dolls are brought to life, he will be counted as, at their peak, there were 73 dolls, including him.

Good Chucky: We originally see Good Chucky as a Chucky sent to scout and collect information on Jake, Devon, and Lexy. However, after being captured and mind-wiped, he becomes Good Chucky and helps them fight the other Chucky's, like Buff Chucky. Good Chucky does end up going back to his evil roots as the mind-wiping began to wear off. He ends up getting exorcized and possesses Father Bryce, killing him and the father by imploding his body.

Buff Chucky: This Chucky is, as the name implies, buff. This Chucky began to work out and become stronger than the rest of the Chucky's, with impressive enough strength to rip out someone’s heart with his bare hands. He was later defeated and killed by the Colonel after getting outsmarted.

The Colonel: This Chucky is possibly the best tactical mind of the group. Just because he is bald doesn’t mean he’s not a force to be reckoned with. He was able to devise a plan to track down and scout the protagonists of the television series and even outsmarted Buff Chucky, killing him. We also know he somehow killed a bunch of other Chucky's. He eventually gets killed by Andy while having Vietnam flashbacks.

Prime Chucky: While most likely not the original Chucky, it is likely referred to as prime Chucky due to being the oldest. He possesses Nica for most of the television series; however, he does end up possessing a doll. While he does end up possessing this doll after most of the other dolls have been killed, we will be including him in his doll state, not inside of Nica.

The Ghost Of Charles Lee Ray: After Charles died and was about to be banished to hell by Damballa himself, he begged for mercy, and Damballa gave Charles one last chance to ‘up his game.’ He allowed Charles to live on as a ghost, and due to killing several people in the White House, Chucky has unbelievable amounts of power there in his spirit form. We won't go over everything he can do here, but we will cover him in more detail in "forms."

Discarded Dolls: Not something achieved through soul splitting, but I figured I'd add them here anyways. At the end of the first volume of the Devil's Due Publishing Chucky comics, Chucky is burned to nothing but smoke; that smoke then travels to a junkyard and possesses some dolls. I count 13 in total here.

Self-Destruction
If a human resists possession, the human host can be killed by the soul fragment or the full soul of Charles Lee Ray through the self-destruction of the soul, which claims the lives of both the host and the soul fragment or the full soul, as shown when the soul of Good Chucky tried to possess Father Bryce after he successfully exorcised him from the doll, only for Father Bryce to resist with all his might, forcing Scout Chucky to self-destruct his own soul to kill Father Bryce and explode him into pieces.

Immortality/Resurrection
Chucky found the path to eternal life, which means he now cannot die from natural causes, such as aging. He's also just hard to kill in general, being still alive after being nearly completely burned, being shot several times, and having his head shot off. Even after being shot through the heart and killed, Chucky still lives in the doll and will return to life if his body is repaired. If any of his blood gets inside something, he can possess it. Like here, his blood gets inside some liquid plastic, and the doll made from it becomes Chucky’s new body, meaning Chucky's blood is sentient in a way. Electricity striking him from the sky also seems to bring him back from deathFinally, if Chucky's burnt to the point of being ashes, the smoke from Chucky's ashes can also possess other Good Guy dolls, with Chucky somehow able to control the smoke. He has also used Damballa or other means in order to resurrect himself, like Tiffany repairing his chopped-up corpse or Glen resurrecting him with the Heart of Damballa.

Chucky Slash & Dash Power-Ups and Boosts
Kinda of an obscure piece of Child's Play media, but after Curse, Chucky got a mobile game, which is totally not a poorly made Subway Surfers rip-off. In that game he can collect batteries to buy power-ups and boosts. The problem is 1. the game is unavailable, and 2. I don't have an iPhone, so we will just go off YouTube videos and probably miss a lot of stuff.

Power-Ups
Battery Magnet: Magnetizes all batteries towards Chucky.

Double Battery: As the name implies, it gives Chucky double of any battery collected.

Auto-Run: Allows Chucky to run automatically.

Auto-Kill: Allows Chucky to kill automatically.

Boosts
Extra Life: Upon dying, Chucky is given a second chance and brought back to life.

Extra Life X2: Works the same way as the last boost, but make it double.

Short Start: Increases Chucky's speed at the beginning of the round for a short amount of time.

Long Start: Increases Chucky's speed at the beginning of the round for a long amount of time.

Clairvoyance
Chucky has shown the ability to call upon Damballa to help guide him to hints on information like where people are located.

Fourth Wall Awareness

What can I say? There's nothing more devilishly evil than Hollywood. It's amazing what you can get away with!

Dead By Daylight
As a part of chapter 30, Chucky was added to Dead By Daylight. Along with this DLC came a few new powers, which will be listed now.

I'm in the hall of fame baby!

Killer Power:

Hidey-Ho Mode: Chucky becomes undetectable and generates map-wide Footfalls and the sounds and footprints caused by them are able to disorient survivors.

Slice & Dice: When in Hidey-Ho mode, Chucky is able to rush forward and hit survivors with his knife.

Scamper: When in Hidey-Ho mode, Chucky is able to go under downed pallets and through windows.

Killer Perks:

Hex Two Can Play: Any time Chucky's stunned or blinded by someone, a total of 4/3/2 times, Hex Two Can Play activates on a random totem, which stuns anyone who stunned Chucky previously for a few seconds.

Friends Till The End: If Chucky kills someone who is “not his target,” it will reveal their aura for around 6/8/10 seconds, and they will suffer from a status effect for 20 seconds, and if Chucky kills his obsession, a random person on the map will scream, revealing their location, and they will become the new obsession.

Batteries Included: Whenever Chuckys is in a 12-meter radius of a completed generator, he’s granted a +5% speed boost for a little while.

Add-ons:

Doll Eyes: reveals the aura of all windows and downed pallets if Chucky is within 20 meters of them.

Good Guy Box: Reduces the cooldown of successful Slice & Dice attacks to 93% of their default duration

Strobing Light: Reduces Chucky's terror radius by 8 meters when Hidey-Ho mode is on cooldown.

Tiny Scalpel: Pools of blood will appear to Chucky in bright red.

Silk Pillow: Permanently reduces Chucky's terror radius by 6 meters, but increases the charge time of Slice & Dice to 150% of the default.

Yardstick: All auras of survivors within 16 meters of Chucky will be revealed for 3 seconds after performing a Scamper.

Mirror Shards: Grants Chucky the ability to see the Illusionary Footfalls around survivors.

Pile of Nails: Chucky will be undetectable for 3 seconds if he manually ends Hidey-Ho mode.

Plastic Bag: Survivors walking through an Illusionary Footfall will suffer from the exhausted status effect for 15 seconds.

Straight Razor: If Chucky successfully hits a survivor with a Slice & Dice attack they will suffer from the Hemorrhage and Mangled status effect for 80 seconds.

Hard Hat: Chucky will instantly break pallets after performing a Scamper under them.

Iridescent Amulet: Extends the duration of Hidey-Ho mode by 50%, but basic attacks will immediately end Hidey-Ho mode.

Resistances
Springtrap
Pain: Springtrap’s in pain 24/7 already, so he’s basically just numb to most pain inflicted upon him. And if something’s strong enough to make him feel pain, his agony abilities will only grow stronger.

Biological Manipulation: Remnant users like Michael Afton can continue living despite lacking bones and organs, which doesn’t affect Michael’s bodily functions.

Electricity: Unfazed after receiving a shock from a taser, (which is 50,000 volts) while wearing the Spring Bonnie suit. This same Taser was also able to short-circuit Chica. This is consistent with the games, as Afton can take shocks from the controlled system of Pizzeria Simulator.

Chucky
Pain: When Chucky’s in a fresh body, he does not feel pain for a period of time. Even when he does, he’s incredibly resilient.

Forms
Springtrap
Dark Springtrap
You won't like William when he's angry, because when he is, he transforms into a terrifying creature who definitely isn't a re-skin to sell toys. He's totally real and very useful, trust me, bro.

The Agony
(Art by: u/_Alexissss)
The Agony was first created when the Stitchwraith was being crumpled by the garbage compactor. The unholy spirit of William Afton rose, trying to grab Andrew. Jake retaliated, and the man attacked him instead. The two boys disappeared, with Andrew's fate unknown, due to William's power. After ejecting the endoskeleton that made up the Stitchwraith, the bits and pieces of junk, along with animatronic parts, began to fuse together to form the Agony. It's implied many other animatronics are inside, but the four animatronics that are confirmed and named to comprise the Agony's parts are Fetch, Ella, Foxy, and the Plushtrap Chaser. Part of it is made from Eleanor’s battered, rusting, long-necked, and vaguely female-shaped endoskeleton.

Chucky
The Ghost of Charles Lee Ray
After Chucky is shot and killed by Coop, the ghost of Charles Lee Ray manifests in the Spirit Realm. From there he finally meets Damballa, who has taken the form of Chucky's doll body. Damballa informs him that his sacrifices were ignored as he "cheated on him with other gods," and after reading through the murders he committed, believes they were lacking passion and originality. Before Damballa processes his soul and sends him to Hell, Charles begs for one more chance. He agrees, challenging him to kill as a ghost and harness the blood he spilled in the White House.

The Ghostbusters ain't got nothing on me.

Dimensional Travel
Charles can travel from our realm to ‘The Spirit Realm’ freely. Within the Spirit Realm resides every single version of Charles, meaning Chucky has several souls an opponent would need to destroy to fully take him down. In This Place there's also ‘The Doll House,’ where all of Charles’s souls hang out. There's even a whole cinema room!

Before the Verdict
Can Afton use other Character's Agony Abilities?
Ah, a major topic of debate. Other characters showcase a variety of abilities using agony, an emotion Springtrap is shown to make frequent use of. But is it really fair to assume he can just use abilities he's never used just because other characters can? Well…kinda? He’s studied remnant and agony before, and considering his intellect, it makes sense that he should know what it can do. Even ignoring all of that, he absorbs characters like Fetch and Foxy to form his trash rabbit form, so it makes sense that he should have access to their abilities, at least in that form. Now whether or not he would be super effective with them is a story best saved for the verdict, but in terms of him just being able to use them at all? Yeah, he probably can.

Weather Manipulation and Island level Springtrap.
Oh boy… Before I even continue, let's do a brief history lesson on this whole feat that I'm sure you've heard tossed around so many times.

The origin: The origin is from the first story of Fazbear Frights 6: “Blackbird,” where Nole’s guilt about his past behavior bullying a girl named Christine (NOT post-nut clarity like the calc says lol) causes a storm that was allegedly 35 miles long (more on that later) to show up. This storm is later.

The calc: Sometime later, KanaNotBonnie on the Fictional Indexing wiki got ahold of it, calculating the storm to be around the island-level ranges of power. This calc would later be reposted by someone completely different to VS Battle Wiki, where it would spread from there, and the rest is history.

Is it valid? Well…To start, the calc itself is flawed. The storm very likely wasn't 35 miles away; the story makes it VERY clear that the storm is following him. So while the storm does travel 35 miles, it likely isn't 35 miles in actual size. Believe me though, compared to what I'm about to get into, the problems with the calc itself are only minor. Because now we address the main thing: does Afton even scale to it? Afton has a few arguments for scaling to the storm, and all of them aren't very good. So let's go down the list.

“Agony is the strongest emotion, and Afton makes frequent use of it”: While it is true that agony is called the strongest emotion, this likely has nothing to do with destructive power. Emotions in FNAF are considered powerful for their abilities, not for how hard they make you punch; otherwise, there wouldn't be much point to ever studying them at all. Agony gives you the ability to do several things, as has been highlighted; THAT'S what makes it better and more useful than guilt. Even if it was actually more powerful in a destructive sense, there's not much reason to assume that would transfer to Afton's physicals.

"But doesn't Agony buff your stats?” It does! However, this doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things. While Agony can amp your stats, there's no reason to assume “stat amp” means “you're now punching with the peak of Agony's power.” Let alone the fact that, as highlighted earlier, Agony's destructive power likely isn't why it's considered the most powerful anyway.

“Afton scales to Eleanor who—” This will be addressed in full later, but for now just know that he doesn't. But okay! So it doesn't scale to his physicals or whatever, big whoop! He can still summon it, right? Shouldn't even need to say it at this point, but the answer is, of course…no. As mentioned earlier, the storm was made because of Nole’s guilt; he bullied a girl in his past a long time ago and felt really bad about it, which is what caused the storm to begin with. See the problem? Afton doesn't regret a thing; he's a monster who wouldn't change a thing if he had to do life over. He doesn't care about anyone but himself. Therefore, Afton can't use this storm because it relies on an emotion Afton is practically incapable of feeling. Ultimately, there's only one conclusion you can come to once everything is said and done, and it's simply that:
Island level Springtrap just…kinda doesn't work on any level. The storm likely isn't island level to begin with, his arguments for scaling to the storm fall flat, and he would have to be downright out of character to even summon the storm to begin with. It's really strange to me that anyone ever even argued this.

FTL Afton???
So, in this section we will go over both nanosecond feats FNAF has and talk about why they weren't brought up at all. With one of these feats involving the mimic (oh yea) and the other one involving the blackbird.
Both of these feats share many of the same problems, such as being likely just hyperbole and entirely relying on the wording compared to something we could actually calculate. Hyperbole is something writers use all the time, and nothing suggests Afton could do this. Especially with how inconsistent it is with his actual speed. And I know powerscaling usually doesn't bring up these things up but if he's that fast, then why can the security cameras even see him?

And probably the biggest problem here is Afton doesn't really have a super viable scaling chain to either of those characters; he's never interacted with really...anyone that could prove that he could scale to the Mimic, and I'm not even sure anyone DOES scale to Blackbird. Most of the Afton's scaling chains that could maybe get him to those levels rely on "scales to Eleanor, who probably scales to that" which he probably shouldn't to begin with since Eleanor let the Agony absorb her or "He's like...the main villain or something". Now, you may ask, what about the racing car feat form earlier? While that also has many of the same problems, due to being more consistent with his speed, we chose to keep it, even though it isn't exactly a "perfectly" valid feat either:

Who does Springtrap scale to?
There are characters in FNAF that have higher results than where we put Afton not listed in the scaling section, and that's because whether or not Afton should scale to them is debatable at best; let's go over them now.

The Glamrocks: Yeaaaah, no. The Glamrocks perform feats even higher than the Agony forms best long after Afton is dead, and considering how much more advanced they are than the animatronics from Afton's era (and that's saying something), there's no reason to believe Springtrap would be physically superior to them in any aspect.

The Mimic (oh yeah): As previously covered, Afton has no viable scaling chain that would let him compare to The Mimic. He's never interacted with anyone that would prove he does, and considering The Mimic should scale to the Glamrocks, the arguments from that section should also apply here.

Eleanor: So, on one hand you would think it makes sense because Afton literally absorbs her when forming the Agony, but things can never be that simple, can they? Not only was Eleanor heavily damaged during that time, but she also let it happen; Afton didn't overpower her to get the absorption off or anything. Eleanor is also just…treated as WAY more powerful than Afton, and she even goes on to survive after Afton is killed in epilogue 7.

Would Chucky have Remnant?
Ah, Remnant, Afton's main study! He has syringes dedicated to extracting it, a potential wincon, right? But would Chucky even have any remnant to extract? First let's explain what remnant is. Remnant is commonly referred to as “haunted metal”; it's basically leftovers from a soul that allow animatronics in the series to be haunted even without something possessing them (this is the simple version, mind you). Essentially, Remnant is just that, a remnant of actual possession. It's separate from authentic spirits; otherwise, it wouldn't be something you could extract at all.

Therein lies the problem; this mechanic doesn't really apply to Chucky for a few reasons.

1. Remnant is explicitly a thing that only applies to metal and animatronics; we don't have much implication that it works on anything else. Chucky becomes organic after a short period of being possessed, gaining blood and such. So since Chucky bodies are organic, there likely wouldn't be any remnants inside them.

2. You can't really apply these mechanics to Chucky in any way that would make sense. If Chucky dies, there clearly isn't any remnant of his possession; this is shown most clearly in Bride of Chucky, where after his death in the previous movie, Chucky is inanimate until Tiffany does the chant to resurrect him.

Ultimately, there are too many holes in the logic to assume that Chucky would have any remnant for Afton to extract. Chucky just having a soul and possessing something clearly isn't enough, as those are 2 separate things in FNAF.

Weather Manipulation and- Hey Wait a Minute!
So, Chucky, when summoning Damballa, can create storms that can get to around the town-level ranges, but does he scale to it? Nope lol. This is very much only a side effect of Damballa being summoned, not anything that would scale to Chucky's physicals, and while human Charles in the novels can survive being struck by this lightning, humans in real life can survive being struck by lightning all the time; that doesn't mean they can punch as hard as a lightning strike. This one was way simpler than Afton's, thankfully; we can just put it to bed with a simple:
However, unlike Afton, he can actually summon the storm, though it takes an entire incantation, so its viability in combat is questionable.

Does Chucky scale to Cassie?
Yes. Yes, he does. I was going to explain why in here, had a entire section ready to go, but I think The Chucky Respect Thread Blog already explained it better than I ever could have. Go give it a read.

Weakness
Springtrap
All things considered, William is very cocky and arrogant, making him make simple mistakes such as going inside the FNAF 6 pizzeria even though he knew it was a trap, which led to his fiery demise who neutralized the effects of his remnant. Springtrap can also be distracted by the audios of children due to the programming of the suit and will stop what he is doing to find the source. Due to a lot of his powers going back to emotions, someone screwing around with them may also cause some damage, hell, a happy memory might dry up all the agony even.

Chucky
During the first movie, Chucky can be killed with a shot in the heart, with holy water also seemingly being able to damage him, and if he does not transfer his soul fast enough (with the soul transfer ritual taking a long time even though that doesn't seem to be the case anymore), he will be forever stuck as a doll. His small size and light weight also make it hard for him to effectively fight others, even though he kept his human strength, but probably his biggest enemy is his own arrogance, almost always underestimating his opponents. He’s also prone to anger and rage easily.

FUCK YOU!

Verdict

Before actually getting to the verdict, there are a few things I want to say. First of all, if you haven't been living under a rock, you have probably seen the Chucky vs. Springtrap animation. It's a love letter to the matchup and one of the best versus animations I have seen. Go support the creator who put their soul into the project.
That's right, folks, we also have a script, well...scripts, in plural. You see, we have, like, 2 versions of the same script, each having their own take on how the battle would go.

Though be warned, these scripts do spoil the verdict. Speaking of the verdict, let's get into it!

Team Springtrap
Stats
Starting with AP, this is a simple one. Now if we go with low ends, everything is a lot closer. Springtrap scales to Twisted Freddy, who can destroy a wall (1.57-1.85 Megajoules), while Chucky busted through a wooden door (1.136 Megajoules), Afton takes this but barely. With high ends, yes, building Afton and Chucky are a bit questionable, especially Chucky, so he might scale to Tiffany tanking an explosion, which gets to 1.101 tons of TNT. Impressive? Sure, but Afton just outstats way too much by scaling to The Twisted Ones, who can survive a large fire (4.63 tons of TNT), making Afton almost 4x stronger, though do take these building-level feats with a grain of salt. Afton takes AP.

Now speed is Chucky's specialty; he's a fast bastard. Afton's fastest feat is simply moving around Fazbear's Frights quickly, which gets to Mach 2, while Chucky managed to outrun a grenade blast while weakened, which outclasses Afton by a lot, making Charles 6x faster than Afton (and he was weakened during this, btw). Chucky easily takes speed.

And, you know how durability goes by now; dura scales to AP, so Afton is more durable with both low and high ends, as simple as that. Tough...stats never mattered much in this matchup. So let's get into it hax and equipment!

Hax and Equipment
Now...Chucky's hax aren't horrible or anything, quite the contrary, his hax makes him borderline impossible to kill bt any normal means since for one, he isn't just one being; his soul is split into dozens of dolls with each of these dolls being able to use all the abilities our main Chucky can, but that's not his only way to cheat death, as his Extra Lifes can bring him back form basically anything including being melted into nothingness, speaking of being melted into nothingness, even if that happens. Chucky's smoke can live on, not only his smoke, but his blood is also alive and can bring him back if it touches something, which would be mighty helpful if any of it got into Afton's machines. And of course, you have Chucky's main ability, body swapping. Clairvoyance could also help Chucky to discover Afton's weakness, but we will get into that later, and then you have his Ghost Form which can Manipulate Technology, which is a very big advantage considering afton's arsenal. All of that sounds cool and all, but Afton's Hax do outclass Charles. Possession, Soul-on-Soul Combat, Soul Corruption, Perception Manipulation, Ability Corruption, and Corrosive Shocks. All would be very helpful when it comes to bypassing Charles immortality and extra lifes, especially when it comes to soul-related hax, and if that's not enough, Afton's immortality is straight up better, especially since he can just refuse to die. Point to Afton.

Like any good slasher, Chucky has used a variety of weapons: knives, bats, bombs, bear traps, guns, plastic bags, and voodoo dolls. You saw the list. It's huge. He has quite a variety of weapons to choose from, but...even though Chucky has quantity, Afton more than makes up for that with quality. For one, he has Hundreds of Animatronics which could help him with the sheer number of Chucky's, some of them coming equipped with illusion discs which can make people sick with sufficient exposure, (atough sickness very likely wouldn't work on Chucky) and also straight up warp reality. At least for the people being exposed to it. Now, one advantage Chucky has is that these discs would only work in dolls that had already become human; if Chucky swapped bodies with an animatronic, these discs would most likely be useless, but that would leave Chucky open to Technopathy. So they do present an advantage early in the fight. And the only way that Chucky can become immune is to deal with something worse. So, while Chucky has quantity, Afton has quality.

Intelligence and Experience
As You have probably noticed by now, Afton is really, really, fucking smart. Creating extremely advanced machines for their time, it is kind of weird how these Chuck E. Cheese robots are more advanced than any type of machinery, but you have Afton to blame for that; he really is a scientist first, a serial killer second, and an entertainer third. Chucky isn't dumb, of course, but he's absolutely not on Afton's level, especially since he was able to discover Remnant on his own. Afton takes Intelligence.

Experience however, it is a bit more different; Chucky simply has way more skills than Afton, with the only skill Afton has being...stealth, and that's it. And even then, Chucky does stealth infinitely better. Other skills that stand out are the fact that Chucky is obviously more acrobatic and athletic than a rotten body and probably his biggest advantage, improvisation. Anything and everything is a weapon for Chucky, even things that are mostly harmless. Which makes a dangerous combo with his quick thinking. There's also the fact that Chucky has actually fought people on his level before, while Afton never had to. So it's clear Chucky takes experience.

Resistances
They are very similar when it comes to resistances, biological manipulation, electricity, fire, and pain. They are pretty much one to one, making Resistances a tie.

Wincons
Wincons...who will be able to bypass the other's immortality? Both are pretty much unkillable by any other means other than straight-up soul shenanigans; after all, they will always come back, no matter what. So, does Chucky have any way of killing Afton? The answer is sadly no. While he could discover Afton's weakness, it's unlikely he could create a fire strong enough to burn off the Remnant. Especially since the only thing he has to start one is a fucking lighter. Not very useful, huh? and It's not like he has any way to interact with Afton's soul at all. Afton, on the other hand, has soul manipulation and could get rid of Chucky, granted, Charles's soul is split into 89 beings. So Afton would be there for a while, and while you could make a argument about enough fear being able to lobotomize Afton but i highly doubt Chucky would be able to scare Afton enough, especially since Chucky's only "illusion" is making his ghost look like the doll form while some people were drowning in blood. I doubt that's enough for Afton. So Afton has a way to kill Charles, while Charles has none.

Final Thoughts...
This was a weird fight for sure; it's actually a lot closer than people give it credit for. But close doesn't always mean debatable; sadly, it's a close of a character missing a crucial hax to win, and I MEAN IT. Chucky had everything lined up for him for an underdog victory; if only he had one win condition, he would have won. But alas, this doll's funtime was over, and Afton's victory was child's play. The Winner is Springtrap!

Team Chucky
Stats
Starting with AP, this is a simple one. Springtrap scales to the Twisted Ones who survived that enormous fire (not as enormous as ur mom) but anyways that gets to (4.63 Tons of TNT). In comparison, Chucky Scales to Tiffany who can tank an explosion while being in the middle of it (1.101 Tons of TNT). Making Afton 4x stronger and more durable.

Now speed is Chucky's specialty; he's a fast bastard. Afton's fastest travel speed feat is him moving around Fazbear's Frights which got to around Mach 2.94, while Chucky in a weakened state, outran a grenade detonation which got to Mach 19.577. Remember this only for how fast you can run, which means it’ll be a difficult time tagging Chucky, when he’s over 6.6x faster.

So overall, Afton is 4x Stronger and Durable. Afton overpowers him, even with Chucky's immense speed.

Hax and Equipment
Now, I will say Springtrap definitely has superior hax. He could curse Chucky like how Foxy did to Pete with his song, causing him to lose limbs but that takes time given Pete’s losing his limbs took a couple days in the novels. What’s better is his corruption, William being in for example Andrew’s soul can zap electricity, into himself causing his soul to convulse and cause pain so excruciating that the victim becomes unconscious, then making the victims body near mummified. But given how Chucky is completely resistant to electricity, even said himself, and the attack is called electrical and has zaps, I’d say this wouldn’t be quite helpful to take him down I’d say personally. Here are some of the stuff they share which I guess they cancel each other out, Telekinesis, Technology Manipulation, Perception Manipulation. Something pretty useful Afton has is his Soul Corruption, used when Afton as the Agony Amalgamation stabbed Larson with his mechanical hand injecting his soul into Larson, infecting him with a poison that would slowly threaten his life, throughout the rest of the encounter, it left him woozy after some ime and unable to wake up, and with some Purple boils started to form around the area of the incision, and, if not treated, Larson would’ve likely died soon after.

But given how long it takes to actually do anything. Chucky has more than enough time. And if Chucky was really stuck on this ability, one of the Chucky’s hiding in the sidelines could ask Damballa for some help on how to treat it, In fact, Chucky could ask Damballa what Afton fears most, to cause Afton to obtain excessive fear which can cause souls in the FNAF verse to be into a temporary coma or be completely lobotomized (which causes complete memory loss). Ghost Chucky could create an illusion of Afton's worst fears to cause this which would be a huge hindrance if his soul has just completely lost consciousness, or doesn't even know how to fight or use any of his abilities at that point. In fact, a lobotomized completely memory wiped Afton not knowing anything could be manipulated by Chucky into causing him to no longer have fear and move onto the afterlife, causing his soul to ascend and move on. Moving onto that bombshell, I don’t particularly see Chucky being able to bypass remnant given the only fire he can start is with a lighter, and even then Afton lost most of his remnant before and it didn’t really affect him, he’ll still have his soul.

The phantoms don’t really do anything. They can’t hurt Chucky, but Chucky can’t hurt them. They both have possession, being spirits that can attack themselves to anything or anyone. Both can tie themselves to multiple people or things. Both in their ghost form, can be intangible but affect the real world. Though they both have their plusses, Afton is able to refuse to go to the afterlife, but with the fear memory wipe wincon that could now maybe be bypassed. The only ability Afton really has that affects this fight is his Soul on Soul Combat. Basically Afton can grab and hurt the soul itself, such as when Jake tried to carry Andrew to the afterlife, as well as dragging spirits back into objects but Chucky can sort of do the same by trapping someone's soul into an object and then just doing it again and again. But yeah basically Aftons best ability is being able to hurt/kill the soul.

Comparing this to Chucky’s hax, I mean Chucky doesn't really have anything that can take down Afton, but what he has is a shit ton of ways to avoid death. He can survive being melted out of existence, with his smoke living on being able to possess other Good Guys Dolls and his smoke also being conscious. His blood is also alive even when he dies being able to bring him back if it touches anything. He can summon upon Lightning which can bring him back to life. Even if Springtrap assumes he’s dead from simply chopping off his head, the dude can just get up from that and keep going even with severed limbs. Not to mention but all of his abilities are able to be used by every single chucky, so given his shitty Mobile game includes THREE Extra Lifes, meaning they have 4 chances each to kill Springtrap before they have to pull out lightning, or smoke, or blood, and given theirs 89 Chucky’s, Afton would have to take him down at least 356 times. Even then other Chucky’s could do stuff like resurrect a dead Chucky with the Heart of Damballa, or repair his chopped up corpse given their knowledge on healing wounds; it's not much of a stretch. In between all those seconds chances at life, i figure the Colonel would have come up with at least one surefire strategy to kill Afton's soul for good, whether it be due to his intelligence or the help of Damballa you can take your pick.

And lastly theirs Chucky’s other voodoo knowledge, he can perform soul swaps, do possessions with a chant or without, he can dominate peoples mind putting his souls into others, and heal all injuries the body had faced previously. But with all of that done neither really has a huge advantage over the other, Aftons main wincons just take way too long and become even longer with Chucky’s fuck ton ways of cheating death. so arguably I’d say Chucky has slightly and I mean slightly better Hax (gets carried by precognition from Damballa).

Now onto Weapons, both have an assortment of random human weapons that realistically won’t do too much against the other but I will say, Chucky just has a way bigger list of weapons so theirs that but onto the Good Stuff. Chucky’s only really good weapons are his Voodoo Doll, The Heart of Damballa, and shockingly his Hello Kitty Mask (I’ll get into that in a bit). The Voodoo Doll, if Chucky gets Springtraps blood, he could make Springtrap do whatever he wants, at least from a physical standpoint which as mentioned isn’t really that helpful but still it’s nice none the less. Then there's the Heart of Damballa, he can possess anyone, swap bodies, create storms, and generate lightning. Since previously mentioned the FNaF cast is around Mach 2, they likely can’t react to lightning and if they are struck with that lightning for a whole second since lightning isn’t meant to be hit for more than a few microseconds they’d be getting up to large building amount of energy per second so it could be pretty useful for extra damage. Looking over at Springtrap, his Illusion Discs can’t really make Chucky sick given he’s resistant to Toxins and Diseases so it's unlikely he could get sick naturally. Though with the warping on life it’s kind of like a drug fest. But I mean it only works if the Good Guy Dolls that already became human, but if Chucky swapped bodies with an animatronic they’d become useless so theirs that. Now onto the animatronics, we have the 4 Classic Animatronics which could turn on Afton if Chucky simply drew a picture, or pretended to be a kid with the Hello Kitty Mask (crazy). Which given, the Classics could take down the Twisted Ones quite easily, that would get rid of them too. The rest of the animatronics won’t likely be able to sway their opinions so easily, but given the shit ton of Chucky’s the hundreds of Minireenas or Balloon Boys won’t pose too much of a threat. He’ll probably have a bit of trouble with the Funtimes given they're meant to be way stronger than any of the others on the list. Afton most likely takes Weapons because of his Animatronic Army being very helpful, but besides that neither has really much of an arsenal that affects much.

Intelligence and Experience
Let’s be honest-Afton’s brainpower is off the charts. The guy basically turned a pizza party animatronic band into a collection of walking haunted murder tanks. We're talking about robotics and programming that somehow eclipse real-world military tech, all made in the back room of a themed restaurant. That’s not just smart-that’s genius-level IQ. Afton discovered Remnant entirely on his own, reverse-engineering literal soul science without so much as a peer-reviewed paper. When it comes to raw intellect, Afton is a scientist first, a psychopath second, and a party clown dead last. No disrespect to Chucky, but he's simply not operating on that tier of mental horsepower. Afton takes the Intelligence category, no contest.

Now, experience? That’s where the conversation flips. Chucky’s been through it all-and usually comes out laughing. He’s nimble, acrobatic, and brutally creative. While Afton mostly sticks to jump scares and ventilation shafts, Chucky’s turned everything from nail files to ceiling fans into murder weapons.Chucky’s thrown hands (and knives) with folks who can actually fight back. Cops, military, other killers, even voodoo users. Afton? He’s mostly ambushed children and the occasional security guard who forgot to check the cameras. So while Afton may have the brains, Chucky’s got the brawn and the battlefield savvy. He wins the experience war hands-down—and probably with a chuckle.

Lastly, Skill. This goes to Chucky as well. Afton has some stuff he’s an okay manipulator, getting engineers into approving his animatronics only off of his mouth. He also has engineering and robotics skills and stealth. But in comparison, Chucky matches exactly or better most of the time, he’s more stealthy, making trapping, framing, marksmanship, weapon mastery and improvisation, acrobatics, voodoo knowledge, hacking, medicine. Lastly his manipulation skills are way better, being a very charismatic human killer, convincing an innocent teen to kill his dad, and having a girl believe he was a priest even though she confessed to the priest several times before. So yeah Chucky should take this category.

The answer is sadly…yeah. He has the aforementioned Lobotomy which added with his great Manipulation afterwards would result in a convinced Afton to ascend to the afterlife. To be fair, Afton does have his Soul Combat which would definitely help, but given Chucky has over 350 chances I doubt Springtrap will be able to get rid of all the souls once and for all by the time Chucky has successfully completed his plan. So while both barely have wincons, one will take way less time than the other.

Final Thoughts...
This was one of the most fascinating matchups I’ve ever been a part of. And as the only Chucky representative I feel very proud writing this, knowing I legitimately whole heartedly believe Chucky wins now. This was very debatable, for the longest time I actually thought Springtrap would win and I’d just convince myself otherwise with no reason, but look where we are now. But I guess all it took was a bit of hope and luck, I guess it was all about the friends we made along the way…Fuck this shit. Looks like one of them will always come back today, Afton will be left in a state of agony, I guess he won’t be saying Chucky Cheese! The Winner is Chucky.
