But one of these diabolical man will Fall. Will Dr.Facilier be Dragged to his Demise by his sins? Or will Rasputin Crumble to Dust? Time to Find out!

Before We Start…

This one is probably one of the most simple MUs out there,we will mainly stick to The Movie versions of the characters here so no Mangas or Musicals (not really a fair comparison but you get what i mean.) The only exception to this rule is stuff that is still related to the Movie universe or share enough connections to it. Here is a list of what is and what isn't used in this blog. Also the Tiana series isn't out yet and I'm not psychic,so i can't know for sure if the result will be outdated when it does come out

Dr.Facilier

"Come on boys, won't you shake a poor sinner's hand?”

Facilier's past is mostly unknown,but what we do know about him is that he's a voodoo witch doctor who often uses magic and trickery on the street to con customers out of their money,but sometimes his Deals include a bit more than money. At some point in time, through unknown circumstances, Facilier encountered a group of dark loa and formed an alliance with them, granting himself power over black magic,After being constantly treated with disrespect or ignored by the wealthy,Facilier wanted to take over and rule New Orleans.

After overhearing the waitress Tiana and Big Daddy's flamboyant daughter named Charlotte talking about Prince Naveen of Maldonia coming to town due to marry the latter. Facilier being making a Genius Plan,Once Prince Naveen and his overworked valet, Lawrence arrive, Facilier invites the two to his Voodoo Emporium and tricks him into making a deal,Facilier then casts a spell on Prince Naveen that turns him into a frog capturing some of the prince's blood in a voodoo talisman which allows the wearer to assume the appearance of the person whose blood is stored within it. Facilier and Lawrence imprison Naveen in a jar and put it in a cupboard, due to the fact that the blood level in the talisman needs to be constantly refilled in order to keep Lawrence posing as the prince. After escaping,Naveen comes to a woman named Tiana. Believing she is a princess due to her costume, Naveen asks her to kiss him to break Facilier’s spell,which obviously dosen't work and it makes her a frog too.

Facilier is then forced to make a deal with voodoo spirits to find and recapture Naveen in exchange for the souls of all of the people in New Orleans after he receives his fortune. Later, the voodoo spirits capture Naveen while he is with Tiana and return him to Facilier, who locks him up and prepares to go through with his plans. hiding in the shadows waiting for the moment to kill Big Daddy with a voodoo doll just as Lawrence is about to marry Charlotte. However, Naveen's firefly friend Ray manages to save him and they stop the wedding just in time, retrieving the talisman in the process. Which Tiana Destroys. His "Friends" then take Facilier's Soul away as he failed to pay back his debt.

Rasputin

"Mark my words: you and your family will die within the fortnight!"

Rasputin was once a confidant and advisor to the Romanovs,the royal Russian family. However, despite being thought as a holy man, Rasputin was exposed as a fraud who wanted to take over Russia for himself behind the family's back, so he was banished for treason by the Russian Tsar Nicholas II. From that day forward, Rasputin became utterly obsessed with getting revenge not only on Nicholas, but the entire Romanov family. He willingly sold his soul to the otherworldly forces of darkness in exchange for the power to fulfill his revenge. As a result, his entire flesh was sucked away into a shadowy vortex, leaving only his still-living skeleton. In return, he was granted a powerful unholy reliquary, which transformed him into a lich with new rotted out flesh in the process.

One night in 1916, in the middle of a party, Rasputin visited the Russian palace to confront Nicholas, terrifying everyone present except for Nicholas himself which orders him to leave. Angered by this, Rasputin threatened Nicholas for daring to banish him, putting him and his family under a curse to die within a fortnight. two weeks later he returns to the Russian palace and summons several tiny demons to unlock the palace gates, sending the Bolsheviks and numerous Russian soldiers to execute Nicholas and his family, except for Nicholas' mother Marie and his young daughter Anastasia, who managed to escape via passageway. atough Rasputing drowns before getting to them. this was not his end. as he ends up being trapped in limbo due to the curse being unfulfilled, leaving his pet bat Bartok with his reliquary.

his reliquary is brought back to his hands thanks to Bartok, who informs that Anastasia is still alive and in heading to France with two con artists named Vladimir and Dimitri. after a couple failed attempts,he decides to go to Paris himself and kill Anastasia in person. But just when he was about to,his Reliquary is Snatched and Smashed which releases the demons that Come to Claim his soul as punishment for his failure to murder Anastasia as he is dragged to Hell for eternity.

Experience And Skill

Dr.Facilier

while Facilier age is unknow he does seem to be somewhat young and quite athletic being a expert dancer (which isn't exactly that useful in a fight but i just had to mention it) He also claims be a descendant of royalty and as a practitioner of Petro Voodoo,Facilier certainly is Skilled when it comes to the crafts of it,having and knowing all kinds of different Tricks and artifacts.

Getting quite the fame in New Orleans. he's also to put it lightly,a master of lies,Tricketery and Charisma. being able to come up with Plans on the spot,hell,he makes a living with tricking people. as expected form a Con Artist. usually Tricking his Opponents rather than Beating them Physically like when he tricked Naveen into becoming a Frog by promising him Green (which he tecnically didn't lie).

Rasputin

Rasputin was a royal adviser of the Romanov family once but after selling his soul,he became a Skilled Sorcerer,knowing how to place Curses upon People,including a Curse that Started the Russian Revolution and how to best utilize the Powers of the Unholy Reliquary. he's also fluent in English,Russian,and French (which isn't exactly that useful in a fight but i just had to mention it)

And they can even turn into other things such as 1 Dollar Bills (Infinite Money glitch) Facilier usually uses these to trick People into his deals by showing a Positive but Misleading version of one's Future.

Fireworks(?)

Say what you want about Facilier but he knows how to put on a show,and what is a show without some flashing lights,it's not clear what exactly it is but Facilier seems to have some kind of Fireworks on hand just in case he gets into a Musical Number.

Voodoo Dolls

Atough it does take a bit of time,Facilier can Create specifically tailored voodoo dolls,which basically work like you would expect a Voodoo Doll to work.

Voodoo Talisman

The Source of Facilier's Power and a charming necklace,it not only allows the User to transform into other people,atough it is important to note that it needs the Blood of the Person the User wants to Transform into in order to work,with it gradually losing more Blood and needing to Refill. But can also transform people that are pinched by it ,If it breaks Facilier is Fucked.

Magic Powder

Facilier has a Magic Powder that once it is blown on someone,they will earn a beautiful hair atough it will Grow all over their body after a few seconds.

Mom's Head

Facilier does claim to be form Royalty and he has Evidence(?) to back this up,hmm...if we can call it that.

Fire Demon

a Screaming Fire Demon in a Box that...Facilier didn't even know what it would do in the first place. You can cleary see how serious he takes safety.

Rasputin

The Unholy Reliquary

a Fancy Magical vial with a Skull lid,Rasputin's very existance is dependent of this relic and if it is Destroyed Rasputin will die,but it's not all bad The Unholy Reliquary can be called Remotely,which makes it easier to not die and it can even spy on people from afar,sense the presence of a Romanov relative and Shoot powerful Blasts of Magic. not to mention it allows Rasputin Multiple different abilitys such as:

Illusion Creation: The Unholy Reliquary allows Rasputin to create downright perfect Illusions Including Transforming the Area he's in into a Replica of the place he Was First Defeated.

Ice Manipulation: froze a river completely.

Flight: Rasputin can Blast into the Sky like a Rocket,leaving a trail of Green Mist behind.

Plant Manipulation: Rasputin Reshaped and made a Hedge Maze Grow in size and made it even more dangerous and Aggressive.

Dream Manipulation: Rapsutin can Manipulate Dreams to his liking making people see what he wants them to see and even make them sleep walk.

Summoning: Rasputin can summon a Large amount of Green Demons form his Reliquary with them being stronger in larger quantities,but we will get into them soon,don't worry.

Curse Manipulation: With the Powers of the Unholy Reliquary Rasputin Unleashed a Curse that stired up discontent among the Russian people, which finally resulted in a revolution. Leading to most of the Romanov family being killed.

Powers and Abilities

Dr.Facilier

Preto Voodoo

Facilier Pretty much Mastered Voodoo,specifically left-handed/Petro Voodoo,Which is often associated with Black Magic. a Few Uses for it include Curses,Protection,Influence upon others and many others. though it is important to note that it shares many differences with other Types of Voodoo such as right-handed Voodoo which is associated with White Magic.

Hoodoo

atough not shown in the Movie much,Hoodoo is commonly Associated with personal power and ancestor veneration,it can be used for many things including Rootwork,Conjure,Healing,Curses,Protections and many others. and of Course Facilier is also a Expert in the Arts of it.

Independent Shadow

Facilier's Shadow seems to be at least somewhat it's own being,proving "don't Trust anyone,not even your shadow" wrong,trought the movie it is seen moving around and interacting not only with the Real World but also the Shadows of other things,changing it's Size and Shape,being able to grow to the point it covers the entire room in shadows,not to mention it dosen't even need to be close to Facilier in order to move.

Transmutation

Facilier can not only Transmutate people into animals at will but is also able to turn People Back into humans and weirdly enough giving them new clothes after doing so,But the big Catch is that he seems to need to use the Talisman at first to do it at will,which means he would need to make a deal,which shouldn't be a Challenge to someone as Manipulative as Facilier. This curse also seems to be Transmitted trough kissing for...some reason? Though in the Wii Version of the game,he has a temporary version of this Spell that he is able to do anytime he wants.

Pyrokinesis

Facilier has showcased a very small amount of Pyrokinesis,with a wave of his hand he was able to light 3 Skulls on Fire.

Telekinesis

Once again,he has showcased a very small amount of Telekinesis,which you would think he would use it for more useful stuff rather than just opening a Door and turning on the lights once.

Magic Blasts

Facilier can Summon small Purple projectiles in the DS Version of the 2009 Game,it can go in a circle,fall form the Sky and Home into people

Illusion Creation

Facilier can create realistic illusions relatively fast,be it big or small,in-fact he once warped the Background into a illusionary version of Tiana's Dream restaurant.

Memory Projection

we already know that can read and tell the Future and the Past but he can also straight up Create Puffs of Smokes displaying memories,it dosen't stop there,as he has shown himself able to display Scenes of Tiana's Memories in a Windowsill.

Rasputin

Undead Physiology

After Selling his soul and dying Rasputin was transformed into a Undead-like being due to his curse not being fulfilled,which does have it's Advantages,Starting with the obvious,he dosen't need to sleep,eat or drink. He also has full control over his body,he can keep going as a Head and move all of his Body parts separately,reattach Body Parts and can even retract his head like a turtle. Only truly dying if the Unholy Reliquary is destroyed.

Elasticity

Don't get me wrong here,he's not Mr.Fantastic or Luffy levels of Elasticity,but still,it's very useful especially when you can strech your neck so much to the point you hit the roof,Strech your own Blood Vessels to grab stuff (ew) and have pretty much full Control over your body.

Shadow Demons

Facilier's Army of Shadow Demons Provided by His Friends in order to Track Down Naveen,they seem to have all the properties of Facilier's Shadow like interacting with other people's shadows,except bigger,meaner and in a Larger Quantity and they are Completely obedient,also being able to completly consume a person but it's also important to note they do have a pretty big Weakness,Light. They have been warded off by a Literal Firefly and by Mama Odie's Light.

The Loa

a Legion of Masks Similar to The Loa,which are god-like figures in Voodoo Mythology. with the Main Head Serving as a Portal to the Other-Side,the Background seems to Warp each time they use their powers,even helping Facilier Put on a show and help make the wishes of the customers of Facilier a Reality,such good buddies,they are Responsible for the Creation of Facilier's Shadow Demons and his Voodoo Talisman not to mention presumably being the ones who gave Facilier his magic powers.

Zombie Heads

a group of Zombie Head that singed to Facilier during his Demise,not that useful unless you want to do a music number.

Living Voodoo Dolls

Living Voodoo Dolls that can not only Dance but also play the drum. They are so Talented!

Snakes

a Pair of Snakes that Trapped Naveen to prevent him from escaping. not much to be said here.

Rasputin

Demons

Rasputin usually uses his magic to Summon these Flying Demons and often sends them to do his Dirty Work,while not that dangerous on small Quantities,a Big Swarm can cause some pretty serious Damage. They almost never separate and always attack in hordes and they do seem to have at least a somewhat Average Intelligence,as Their Attacks are always coordinated. They can also Possess and Grant Life to seemingly inanimate Objects such a Horse Statues,are capable of Melting Metal and can even merge together into a Massive Demon for a Few Seconds if there are enough. Atough they do have 2 Big Weaknesses,they seem to be maintained by concentration and will disappear if Rasputin is distracted. and they are extremely fragile,like getting oneshot by a dog fragile.

Bartok

Rasputin's Pet Albino Bat,Bartok used to perform magic acts all over the city before meeting Rasputin and while Cowardly and not exactly as Ruthless as his master,he knows Karate,was responsible for Rasputin getting his Unholy Reliquary back. and Constantly Trying to Convince Rasputin to get a Life and stop being so obsessed with Revenge even though his advice goes on deaf ears.

Singing Bugs

You know how Disney Princesses always have Singing Animals? Well,Rasputin has Singing Bugs. These adorable little Creatures met Rasputin when he was in the Limbo and they come in plenty of different Flavors,Beetles with pincers,Bugs with Large Shells,Bouncing Bugs,Scorpions and even Sexy Bugs.

Before the Verdict

Is Descendants Canon?

Descendants Are Disney Channel Original Movies that People have been Debating the canonicity of for some time now. the Story goes that after Belle and the Beast became king and queen. Following the establishment of the United States of Auradon,they created a new nation from the surrounding kingdoms and brought back and banished the villains to the Isle of the Lost, an island slum surrounded by a barrier where magic is suspended. which would Directly Connect every single Disney Movie,and while there's no magic in it. there is quite some decent feats that Facilier would scale to and Dove Cameron confirmed it to be Canon to the Original Movies,so gg Right?

well,Yes but no...while it was Stated to be canon,there are some massive holes that Prevent it to be canon. with the main one being the Time Beauty and The Beast takes place. around 18th century France,while stuff like Sleeping Beauty taking place in 14th century Europe. it simply dosen't make sense Chronologically and then there are villains who didn't even Die in the First Place but were Still in the Isle of Lost like Lady Tremaine,Iago being there even though he redeemed himself,The Massive Personality changes like Jafar being a Thief and there are simply too many holes for me to consider it.

Weakness

even though Facilier is Extemely Cunning,he has his Fair Share of Weaknesses. he's extremely Arrogant and full of himself for one,and even though he is quite Athletic,he's Still a Normal Human with no real Impressive Strength feats who can enter in panic if his plans do not go his way and most of his Magic Depends of the Talisman being intact,not to mention Stuff like Voodoo Dolls and other practices of Petro Vodoo and Hodoo Require Preparation and wouldn't be valid in a Versus Scenario unless he is able to buy a very large amount of time and he can't use Voodoo on himself,and if he fails to pay his part of the Deal or If his Talisman Breaks,his Soul will be dragged away to the Other Side. And of course as i have said before his Shadow Demons are weak to light.

Rasputin

Rasputin dosen't have many Weaknesses but the ones he does have are extremely notable,like his Opponent,he's Extremely Arrogant but his Biggest weakness comes with his Strongest weapon,The Unholy Reliquary,if he dies without his Curse being completed he will get stuck in Limbo until he gets it back and if the Reliquary is destroyed Rasputin's soul will be dragged to Hell. Not to mention most of his Powers require the Reliquary,making him a sitting duck if he does loses it. he's also obsessed with revenge and will get anything to get it,leaving him Open for Tricks. And his Demons can disappear if he dosen't concentrate,not to mention they are pretty fragile.

Verdict

Hey,you probably already know how this goes by now so i wont bother you with Unnecessary Blah Blah Blah,lets get into the Verdict.

Stats

Let's start with AP and uh...yeah,this isn't close like at all,the best Facilier did on his own is like lift Lawrence for a few seconds,not exactly blowingly strong,stronger than a average human? Maybe but not by much. Then lets compare this to Rasputin which can Shatter a Skull and Bone Structures and i think he has a very clear advantage,and that's him without the Reliquary,with it he can straight up blast parts of a bridge. Esay point for Rasputin.

Moving on to Speed,it's a big handful of nothing,neither have shown anything impressive with what we have used here but if i had to pick one,i would probably go with Facilier? Mostly because he's way younger and more agile,yeah that sounds about right.

And finally Durability,again,nothing notable BUT and Big BUT here,Rasputin should scale to his AP,at least the Physical stuff like Cracking Skulls,so i guess this also goes to Rasputin.

Rasputin takes Attack Potency and Durability but Facilier takes Speed.

Hax and Equipment

When it comes to Hax,Facilier should definitly have this in the bag,don't get me wrong here,Rasputin being undead is very useful especially because Facilier wouldn't be able to kill him trough brute force and especially Elasticity could help Rasputin recover the Reliquary,all of this is very impressive but Facilier kinda leaves him in the dust when it comes to this,like yea,Facilier would need to either have prep time or trick Rasputin to use stuff like Preto Voodoo,Hoodoo and especially Transmutation if he wants it to be permanent instead of temporary,but still Pyrokinesis,Telekinesis to snatch the Reliquary form Rasputin's hands,his Shadow could also pull a Fast one on him since its basically a second Facilier that can Grow in size and shapeshift btw,all while still being able to interact with the Real World. Not to mention Illusion creation and Memory Projection could also help trick Rasputin into a Deal,which is something we will get into soon.

With equipment,things get a bit complicated since Rasputin has a Single Weapon,The Unholy Reliquary but its a really fucking good one,it can do so much,Curses,Flight,Energy Blasts,Illusion Creation,Plant Manipulation. It's a really strong weapon but it does have the big weaknesses of being one of Rasputin's biggest Weaknesses. As for Facilier,he also has something similar but it's only a Weakness with no Extra abilities besides Shapeshifting and Transmutation,even then,he cant use the Shapeshifting and Transmutation requires a Deal to be made,so,what about Facilier's other weapons? eh...the only one i see coming in hand is the Fire Demon as a weapon and the Tarrot Cards to trick Rasputin,at first i thought the Magic Powder could be useful,but Rasputin is already really hairy so he's Probably used to it. Point goes to Rasputin.

Facilier takes Hax but Rasputin takes Equipment.

Intelligence and Experience

This one should be esay,Rasputin isn't dumb by any means but Facilier is leagues above him when it comes to sheer Intelligence and Trickery,what he lacks in actual combat he more than makes up for it in Intelligence,neither are experts when it comes to Battle I.Q so it does come out to just normal I.Q and Facilier just sweeps it when it comes to this.

With Experience,you would think Rasputin would take this since he has been alive for so much longer but you gotta remember Rasputin is not nearly as Experienced in Dark Magic as Facilier,he kinda just decided to sell his soul one night to take revenge and then immediately died and had to wait a long time to get another chance,Facilier on the other hand has been doing this for a while,its pratically his job,and with how many Voodoo artifacts he has,it certainly paid off.

Point for Facilier.

Support

Honestly,i feel like this could go either way. Faciler may seem like he has the Numbers at first but Rasputin can spawn such a massive amount of Demons,to the point it would be hard for him to keep up. Zombie Heads,Voodoo Dolls and the Snakes could serve as a distraction but nothing much besides that,the same goes to The Singing Bugs and Bartok to a lesser extent. They would mostly be Small Distractions so that their Master may have the chance to break eachothers Talisman. the Thing with the Loa is that they seem really strong but i dont think they would get directly involved,Facilier works for them,not the other way around so i dont see them coming in-midfight to Drag Rasputin to the other side just to defend a mere Puppet. so not doing much unless Facilier tricks Rasputin into a deal. So this comes down to the Shadow Demons vs Rasputin's Demon. Lets start with the obvious,Rasputin's Demon have a very large Strength Advantage when in large quantity,which should be esay to achieve since Rasputin can spawn as many as he wants. not to mention they can grant life to objects,while Facilier's Shadow Demons are way more simple,just being Facilier's Shadow but Bigger and able to consume someone. And they are both pretty fragile so,Esay W for Rasputin right? eh...not really,they have one of the biggest flaws here,Rasputin needs to concentrate for them to be kept alive which basically destroys most of their Advantages since he would be putting himself at risk by showcasing his Reliquary for everyone to see. So Surprisingly the Shadow Demons turned out to be more effective.

Point for Facilier.

Wincons

And finally...Wincons,the biggest Wincon i see people bring up for Facilier is that he could trick Rasputin into a deal and beat him that way but would that really work? for one Rasputin already sold his soul,but lets continue to entertain this idea,no Soul required,how will Facilier convince Rasputin to make a deal,in the middle of a battle,i can only see this working in the very beginning but no matter how smart Facilier is,he wouldn't have time to read Tarrot Card and tap into Rasputin's Desires while they try to kill eachother. Even if he could,Rasputin isn't a idiot and would say something like "i don't need your help,i shall kill the romanov with my own hands",though Facilier has another big wincon that i personally like more. Rasputin's Own Unholy Reliquary,now they both have Talismans that if broken,they are fucked but Facilier hides his while Rasputin just carries it around with him,not to mention Facilier can see the future and past which would allow him to know to destroy the Reliquary before Rasputin knows to destroy the Talisman,which he wouldn't have any way of knowing. Facilier has fast hands so he could definitly pull a fast one on Old Ras,if he dosen't want to get close then his own Shadow or his Shadow Demons can do the Job. But then again,this is the only way that Facilier could kill Rasputin while Rasputin has the simple option of just Blasting him to bits with the Reliquary or Cracking his Skull. So one is way more simple than the other but i would consider either one to be effective.

This Point is a Tie.

Final Thoughts...

This might be the Hardest Blog to decide a Verdict that i have worked on but after giving it some thought? I'm leaning Rasputin,dont get me wrong its very Debatable but,i dont think Facilier is fast or Durable enough to avoid Rasputin Brute forcing his way trough victory,especially since he would most likely die to most things if his shadows fail to protect him,and he still has to deal with the big problem of Rasputin calling the Reliquary back to him and he would need to buy enough time to read Tarot,Faciler is faster but not fast enough and i dont see how he could buy enough time,i get how Brute Forcing your way trough such a interassting matchup is boring,but we are here to show you the most likely scenario so,sorry Facilier,i love ya' but you shouldn't have messed with Russias Greatest Love Machine,RASPUTIN!
